Mihaela Dimitiru
director of horticulture & design
Growing up in Romania, Miha was always fascinated by the wonders of the natural world around her. She channeled this love of the natural world into a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture and a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design from USAMV in Bucharest before moving to the U.S.
With 15 years of experience, Miha’s rich horticultural knowledge shines through in everything she does, and her passion for plants takes her all over the tri-state area in search of the perfect specimens for her botanical palette. Miha excels at listening to clients, understanding their unique lifestyles, and developing artistic visions that are not only beautiful, but are highly personalized and livable.
Miha is inspired by the work of Dutch landscape designer Piet Oudolf and his approach of gardening for all four seasons—using the natural shapes and forms of plants to create breathtaking compositions while prioritizing the needs and health of the plantings themselves.
